A pair of duelling pistols, Francia, 1835 ca. - France, circa 1835

Damascus  steel rifled barrels in circa 12 mm calibre; backward spring locks, breeches engraved with gold numbers "1" and "2", the inscription "Fni. Prelat a Paris" lies behind the cock; light walnut burr stocks (with hairline cracks) terminate with a shell at the muzzle, mounts engraved with swirl motifs, carved capital on butt carved with palmettes, iron butt plates are also embellished. They are conserved in the original walnut case (Dim. cm. 28x46) complete with brass transportation handle and lock and key, it is lined in green fabric and the case contains the following accessories: mallet, cleaning ramrod, bullet mould, turn screw, powder flask, oiler, primer case, brush, extra cartridges and nipples. Overall in excellent condition, minor defects.
