Belonging to the Garibaldian "Augusto Povoleri". Augusto Povoleri (Treviso, 23 April 1838 - Alicante, 12 March 1870) was an Italian patriot, a fervent Garibaldi in the Expedition of the Thousand and in the Trentino countryside of1866. (Wikipedia). The lot is composed of: 1) a Garibaldian cap, an officer's headwear, with embroidered thread badge representing a cornet and No. 3, internal silk label "Eredi ....... Genova" and various stamps. The rare object is in excellent condition, presenting parasite damage. 2) Garibaldian cap, embroidered thread badge on front bearing the no. 6 surmounted by a crown. Rare, in excellent condition, minor damage. 3) Garibaldian cap, central badge presenting the no. 8. Excellent condition, slight parasite damage.  4) Rare Garibaldian red shirt, brass buttons with cornet. Shirt in excellent condition, fading overtime. 5) Rare Garibaldian red shirt, with green filleting, brass buttons, collar with the number 8, in good condition, defects and old repairs. 6) Sabrefrom circa 1850 bearing label with the inscription “Garibaldino Augusto Povoleri”. Ordnance weapon for mounted troops. In patina, very good condition. Length cm. 108. 7) Group of three photographs donated by Menotti, Garibaldi’s son to Augusto Povoleri bearing a dedication on the reverse, composed of two images of the hero of the two worlds, one with a handwritten signature and a photograph of Garibaldian Povoleri.
