A sword, Italia del Nord Brescia 1610 ca. - Northern Italy, Brescia, circa 1610

Double-edged blade flat in centre struck with double anchor stamp and an inscription at the forte in the grooves, iron hilt is chiselled in sections, guard with parry quillons and ring on reverse are further decorated, lozenge-engraved oval pommel, copper wire-wrap shaped wood grip. The weapon is in patina, superbly made and in very good condition, minor defects.
