A Schiavona

Double-edged blade flat in the centre, engravings and words that are not clearly legible decorate the forte, iron basket hilt pierced with rays and bears inscriptions on the upper protection, wrap guard with quillons terminating in curled finials, brass cat-head pommel, shaped leather-bound wood grip. The weapon is in patina, to clean, in very good condition, minor defects.
