Coin cabinet
Llayer in ebony and ebonized wood, embellished with ivory inlays, fillets and tiles in pyrographed ivory. On the outside of the doors the allegories of Water and Fire are depicted, inside are the allegories of Europe and Asia. The cabinet, divided into six small drawers and a large drawer bearing tiles with lively hunting scenes, has a further door in the center depicting the goddess Diana; inside the central compartment there are two further drawers, two small compartments and a "secret". Probably the coin cabinet in question, of German or Flemish manufacture, constituted a couple together with a second example in which the allegories of Air, Earth, Americas, Africa, Mars god of war.
