Signed and dated lower right. The work is accompanied by an autographed letter (and original stamped envelope) from the author addressed to the collector (Paolo Cesarini): "Roma 21-1-1960. Dear Sir, In response to yours dated 15th current, I inform you that The photo of the drawing you sent me seems to me that of a drawing I made, therefore authentic. I don't think it is a 'portrait'; I have always drawn a lot and I continue to do so; I copy everything, even heads, people, and groups of people that I find in magazines and newspapers; this drawing belongs to this series.
