Candido Vitali was born in & nbsp; Bologna, where he was a pupil of the painter Lorenzo Pasinelli , then moved to & nbsp; Carlo Cignani & nbsp; in Forlì. Once independent, he returned to his hometown and specialized in genre paintings, especially still lifes with animals, birds, flowers and fruits.
