Officer's hat of the Lancers with accessories and trunk
belonged to a Lieutenant Aviator from the Cavalry, datable to around the years of the Great War: colbacco covered in thick seal fur, complete with its silver thread cord; the frieze, printed in silver plate, has a trophy applied in the center with a propeller and motor of gilded metal and rests on a rosette woven in silk; the tassel, for the rank of S. Lieutenant, is also in silver plate; inside, alludes to brown leather and black silk lining with manufacturer Cesati label; the headgear is kept in its beautiful rigid trunk, covered with waxed canvas painted in black and lined with thin red cloth, which can be divided into two sectors and also contains a pair of silver shoulder straps for the Grande Uniforme, the related bandolier with giberna, a carrying box collars containing a rigid celluloid collar; the whole in good condition, with normal signs of use and beautiful period patina; rare
