Roman-style flintlock pistol, Northern Italy, c. 1680

L. 52,5 cm.

Long barrel equipped with central tape engraved on the breech and the muzzle signed between branches and volutes "REDEMONTE - BERNARDELLI" (probably Bernardelli Rodomonte); Roman-style battery engraved with masks and scrolls signed inside "G. BA. PA", attributable to the gunsmith Giovan Battista Pajarino information obtained on page. 404 and p. 107 of the "Historical Repertoire of Barbiroli"; pierced and chiseled iron mounts enriched with lion-headed masks; chest in carved walnut. Excellent condition, slight signs of use.

BA. PA", attributed to the gunsmith Giovan Battista Pajarino; see pp. 404 and 107 of "Historical Repertoire of Barbiroli"; pierced and chased iron mounts embellished with masks and leonine head; carved walnut stock. In excellent condition, minor signs of use.
