an example converted to the use of the Spencer's metal rimfire cartridge, the weapon was originally created for the use of the fuel paper cartridge of the Sharps rifle: barrel with front sight and upright lift, tilting for loading; castle with clearly legible factory inscriptions; stock and fore-end in American walnut with iron fittings; mechanics in order; in good condition. The rifle is accompanied by an ancient handwritten note from the original owner, narrating his personal history and the various places on the frontier where he went from 1869, ending the journey of his life on the Pacific coast in 1905; charming
