Pair of flintlock pistols

probably of central Italian manufacture, datable to the 18th century: two-row barrels with rings engraved at the gearbox; elegant "Snaphaunce" drums, the blocks of dogs carved in the image of a grotesque human face; walnut cases with brass fittings, counterfolder and thumb-rest shield placed in the openwork, bridge and butt plate adorned with small silver cameos, original wooden sticks with brass ball knockers and iron pegs; in excellent overall condition l 24 cm
