datable to the period of the French Revolution: single-edged curved blade with shells on both sides; iron guard with beaded bracket hilt and wooden handle covered with metal braid sleeve; wooden sheath covered in leather (missing) with long tip and iron hood (missing a bell); small damage and patina due to time, in fairly good condition L 88.5 cm
