for Compagnia Scelta Granatieri, datable to the period of the Directory: giberna in blackened leather with a wooden core, the large lid equipped with a trophy printed in brass plate; shoulder strap in whitened buffalo leather, ribbed at the edges and equipped with a bayonet pocket: the artefact prior to 1804 dates precisely, when the bayonet was definitively coupled to the saber on the left side of the budriere, thus changing the operating regulations for the maneuver for fixing the sidearm to the rifle; in excellent condition considering its age, with normal traces of use and the right old patina never removed by cleaning.
