coming from sub-Saharan West Africa, probably from Mauritania, datable to the early 20th century: two-edged blade, traditionally worked by beating, adorned with geometric engravings; carved wooden handle; leather sheath, strongly inspired by the sheaths of Tuareg swords, decorated with impressions of abstract geometric motifs, the mouth finished with an iron band carved with rhombuses; evident signs of use and honest patina of time, in good condition L 60 cm
