from Sumatra, datable to the early 20th century: robust single-edged curved blade with raised tip, modeled in a reduced-scale imitation of the Dutch Navy's boarding saber blade of the period; it appears adorned with pleasant incisions with phytomorphic motifs, on the left heel there is a curious imitation of a serial number for European military use; horn handle with brass guard, ferrule and cap; ebonized wood sheath with brass tip and nozzle; in good condition
