Interesting Italian pre-unification saber
on the Austrian 1837 model, probably attributable to the Grand Duchy of Parma; accentuated curved blade, adorned with beautiful etchings with motifs of trophies of arms and racemes; the ornamentation shows minute traces of an original luxury finish with golden fields on a blue background and, due to the style of the design and the manufacturing technique, would make it possible to have a Neapolitan origin; iron hilt with handle covered by leather sleeve; iron scabbard with two bells supported by bands with a typical Austrian rounded shape, also very widespread among our small pre-unification armies which were largely inspired by the Habsburg uniformology; in good condition; rare
