Pair of artillery muskets type 1777 of the Republic of San Marco

of identical model and practically twins also for the excellent state of conservation, they boast the same provenance from the armory of an ancient Venetian family; these are two rifles mod. 1777 originally by Infantry, modified in the arsenal to make them fit for muskets for Artillery; the two weapons are equipped with brass fittings, apart from the iron t-shirts and loading rods; probably originally equipped with departments of the Navy of the Italian Kingdom, they have subsequently known employment & nbsp; during the resistance of the Republic of San Marco in 1848/49, as evidenced by the brand "A.G.B." (Artillery of the Guard of Bassano) impressed on both blades of the butts; in excellent condition; very interesting & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; & nbsp; L 114 cm
