Coral Reef 2020
Emotion: SERENITY
This work entitled Coral Reef is inspired, like all my works, from the natural and organic world. In this case I was inspired by the marine world and the seabed, which evokes silence, serenity and calm from the human point of view, but also fear and anxiety for survival from the viewpoint of the world of fish. In this work I have used a series of different materials to create the various textures of the seabed; the background, which is made of leather, was hand painted and then
worked with a cutter to create a “scratched” effect to represent sand texture. In addition, I inserted, in relief, scraps of leather and fabric to create flowers and organic shapes. I like to make an overlap of materials and patterns, the color palette is inspired by the colors of the marine
world, from vegetation to corals, fish and more. The creative process was fluid, calm and serene as if I were a fish swimming among the beauties and wonders of the seabed.Retail price € 850
