Particular esoteric dagger

double-edged blade with fullers on each side;  hilt and scabbard cast in bronze, carved with magical esoteric motifs marked by the cult of evil, with infernal depiction of the damned being bitten by devils and dragons, guard made up of two intertwined snakes on which dominates in the guise of a handle depiction of Satan in the round, i  ; monstrously gnawed feet resting on a hemisphere adorned with stars alternately arranged with the fifth cusp up (symbol of the Good) and vaulted down (infernal symbolism alluding to the diabolical protome); beautifully made, in excellent condition with a pleasant antique patina, it can certainly be dated to the 19th century; probably of French origin and certainly linked to the suggestions of certain Freemasonic lodges of the time, virulently anti-religious in general and, particularly, anti-ecclesiastical; very interesting
